Knoxville Opera’s annual Rossini Festival International Street Fair, now in its 17th year, has been designated a premier Legacy Event by Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero. Come enjoy an 11 – hour celebration of the performing arts featuring 1,000 performers on five outdoor stages, the YMCA FunZone, and over 125 unique food vendors and artisans. This unique event transforms downtown Gay Street, Market Square, and the adjoining streets into a European-style pedestrian street mall appropriate for the entire family. The Rossini Festival has entertained over 500,000 people from Knox County and the surrounding region in the first 16 years! As the Street Fair is offered free to the community it is largely dependent upon sponsor support for its funding. The 17th Annual event takes place Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 10:00 am – 9:00 pm in downtown Knoxville.
