Foothills Weight Loss Specialists was founded in 2002 and has been designated a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. We offer a range of surgical weight loss options, including gastric bypass and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy.

More than 2,200 patients have lost a total of over 200,000 pounds – more than 65 tons – as a result of weight loss surgery by our surgeons, Dr. Mark Colquitt and Dr. Jonathan Ray. Both surgeons are board certified by the American Board of Surgery and are members of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Our comprehensive bariatric surgery program works in collaboration with the nationally accredited Fort Sanders Center for Bariatric Surgery. Our patient care and support team includes psychologists, exercise physiologists, registered dietitians, nurses and a personal patient advocate. We offer caring and intimate support groups to guide patients on their journey both pre-surgery and for the many years to come after surgery.
