Mitchell & Chico go way back to 2008. Chico was the director for Athletic Training education program where Mitchell studied. Soon after graduation, they both met for beers and quickly realized craft beer lacks diversity. They wanted to be a part of change in Knoxville, TN. Mitchell brewed in college; Chico studied the ways of brewing and soon they found themselves collaborating with local brewing companies. They wish to bring diversity, inclusion and communal growth through the beer they make. They both still hold full time jobs as Certified Athletic Trainers while building up this brewery.
