Jefferson County EMS was born in 1972 when local funeral homes and leaders saw the need to for a dedicated Ambulance service. We are governed by the EMS board of Jefferson County, which is composed of Local leaders and Individuals from the general public. The EMA Division was added to to the responsibilities in the late 1980's We are an A rated EMS service and respond to 12k+ missions a year.
